Data Controller
This site (funfinancials.ie) is operated by Linear Consulting Limited, registered at Golf Links Road, Limerick, Ireland. For any question about how your data is handled, use the Contact Us page.
What We Collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you provide it, a name.
- Usage data: which pages and companies you view, used to show "most popular symbols" to site staff and to measure daily/monthly active users. Not sold or shared.
- Billing information: if you subscribe, our payment processor (see the Payments Policy) handles and stores your card details directly - we never see or store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Cookies: see the Cookies section below.
Why We Collect It
- To create and secure your account, and keep you signed in.
- To provide the subscription service you've signed up for.
- To understand which features and companies are actually useful, so we can improve the product.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (keeping you signed in, security) that can't be turned off without breaking the site. If you accept analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, we also load Google Analytics to understand overall traffic - this is entirely optional and off by default until you accept it.
Your Rights
If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or export ("port") the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, use the Contact Us page.
Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, plus 6 months after closure for legal/accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by using the Contact Us page.
Third-Party Processors
We share data with the following third parties, only as needed to run the service:
- Payment processing: Stripe (see the Payments Policy).
- Email delivery (password resets, account notices, contact form replies): SendGrid.
- Hosting and database: Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud SQL), in the Europe west region.
- Analytics, only if you accept the cookie banner: Google Analytics.
